Love is in the air if you can find time for it—on a Friday! You better have booked far ahead.
We hope you find time to spend with a loved one. Why do we run around if we don’t have time for what’s really important?
Now, if only we took our own advice…
We're preparing the office, now bare walls and concrete on the ceiling.
Our day is spent looking for paint, lights, and anything else to make the space-with-potential a space of calm and practice. At least we do it together. Ignore the tension of arguing about the best way to run aerial classes or the right lights to use in the studio.
Rosiel’s husband even volunteered to help paint the walls and did a tester in one corner. Thanks Matt!
Any idea is only as good as its execution. Due to the severe lack of time, we adjust for contractors’ skills and compromise to get a predictable result.
We have some images to show how things have changed, and we would love your feedback or ideas. Please leave them as comments below.
We also have a short video of the view and saw them cleaning the windows today. Just in time for possible rain in two days.
Bus on Demand
Bus on Demand is an option if you live in Silicon Oasis and want to get to the studio. Essentially, it is a mini-bus ridesharing service run partly by the RTA.
Think of an Uber minibus. It is cheaper but slightly less flexible since you ride with others. It is much more effective for CO2 emissions. It costs 5 AED per ride within a zone and 7 AED interzone, and you can add extra people to your booking for 4 AED per person.
Our tests suggest it is cheap and comfortable enough, but you need to know where you can be collected, and sometimes, it’s too busy. When it works, its pretty great, but the service can improve on the information it provides when it is too busy or when you are not at a pick-up area. Those might be deal breakers if you are in a hurry.
You can find the app on Google Play or the App Store and pay using a credit card or a nol card.
More information about Bus on Demand is available on their website.
Next Week
We will share updates to the schedule.
Not only are we in a new space, but we open as Ramadan starts.
Ramadan is a fantastic time to share with friends and family, but it’s pretty tough on our yoga studio and people's routines.
Do you have an idea on how we can adjust the schedule during Ramadan? Leave a comment, and let's discuss it together.
